Short Biography of our Presenter: Alexandra Jackiw is the former President of Milhaus Management, where she oversaw property operations and asset management functions for the Milhaus owned portfolio and select third-party clients. Prior to joining Milhaus, she worked for several privately-held regional companies as well as large publicly traded investment management firms.
Active in professional organizations, Jackiw served as Chairman of NAA in 2013 and President of the NAA Education Institute in 2008/2009.
She is also a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and Housing Education and Research Association. Jackiw is Past Chair of the Property Management Advisory Boards at both Virginia Tech and Ball State University and has held faculty appointments at each institution.
Jackiw remains active at NAA and recently served as subject matter expert for both the CAM and CAPS designation program rewrites. She was one of the lead authors of the Multifamily Housing Industry textbook and is a regular contributor to Rent and Retain magazine. Jackiw also delivers seminars to industry trade groups throughout the U.S.
She is a licensed broker and holds both the CPM and CAPS designations. Jackiw received the NAAEI Apartment Career and Education Award in 2011. In 2012, Real Estate Forum Magazine named Jackiw a “Woman of Influence in Real Estate” and in 2013 IREM named her as one of the “Women Changing the Face of Property Management.” She was honored in 2015 as a “Woman of Influence” by the Indianapolis Business Journal. Jackiw graduated from the University of Rochester and received her M. ed. from Ohio University.
